Mercedes-Benz rolls out V-Class Elite at Rs 1.10 crore

The Mercedes-Benz V-Class Elite is priced at Rs 1.10 crore (ex-showroom India) and is aimed at large families, sports enthusiasts, business owners.

German luxury car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz on Thursday launched its new multi-purpose vehicle V-Class Elite, expanding the product range in the premium automobile segment offered by the company.

The upgraded version of the V-Class Elite, V-Class Expression and V-Class Exclusive will be made in Spain and sold in the domestic market, said Martin Schwenek, the company’s managing director and CEO.

After unveiling the car, Schwenk said that the luxury MPV is priced at Rs 1.10 crore (ex-showroom India) and will be sold for Rs 68.40 lakh (ex-showroom India) with the V-class product range V-class expression . V-Class Exclusive Rs 81.90 Lakh (Ex-showroom India).

Equipped with seats including massage function, climate control, remote control door, 15 speaker surround sound system, the car also has an agility control suspension system, he said.

The V-Class Elite six-seater will be available in a longer wheel base variant and will be compliant with BSVI norms.

“We are happy to continue our product with the launch of another unique and versatile product for our discerning customers. The V-Class launched this year has taken the luxury MPV segment further and has been a huge success. “

According to a question, he said that the company’s V-Class sold in India was in “triple digits” in the country, but declined to reveal other figures.

He said the V-Class Elite was aimed at large families, sports enthusiasts, business owners.

“We are confident that the V-Class Elite as a product of its kind in India will create new benchmarks for luxury travel in the country and expand the segment”, he said.

Mercedes-Benz India declined 16 percent to 9,915 units in the January-September period, from 11,789 units in the first nine months of 2018.

However, the company said that it has crossed 10,000 units in the first week of October and expects sales to increase slightly throughout the year.
