Even though SUVs are the most popular body style worldwide these days, the car manufacturers have not completely given up on them. From Honda to Audi, to BMW and Skoda, all are gearing up to introduce new sedans in the Indian market and here is a list of 10 sedans that are expected to be launched in India in 2020.
The Audi A3 is the smallest sedan the brand makes and is an entry-level model for the Indian market. Recently Audi announced that it had finished the A3’s BS4 listing and was no longer on sale. This is because a new generation of all models will be coming later this year with a new design, a BS6 Complete petrol engine and a list of all the latest features of Audi.
Expected Price Rs 30-40 Lakh
Audi A5 Sportback
The A5 Sportback is one of the low volume products for Audi. But it is one of the most exciting looking and driving machines that you can buy for that kind of money. Audi recently decided to update the entire A5 range, and it is scheduled to come out later this year with a convertible, more powerful S5, and the furious RS5 coupe model.
Expected Price: Rs 75-80 Lakh
Audi RS7 Sportback
590hp, 800Nm of torque, 0-100 kmph acceleration time of 3.5 seconds, are figures that were once reserved for supercars. But Audi believes its sedans can also provide sea fun and take more people with you while working with you. The previous generation Audi RS7 was growing rapidly, and the new version takes it even further with the lightweight-hybrid Assisted 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8. A performance car that is family friendly! What else you need?

BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe
The BMW 2 Series is expected to land in India in the aforementioned Audi A3 and the upcoming Mercedes-Benz CLA class. The 2 Series Grand Coupe will be the entry-level BMW for sale in India, positioned below the 3-Series in the range. The 2-Series Gran Coupe will be a four-door sedan with a coupe-style sloping roofline. The 2-Series is likely to borrow from the engine option X1.

BMW 8 Series Gran Coupe
Audi will introduce the all-new 8-Series Gran Coupe in India to compete with the RS7 BMW. The car has already been spotted at the dealership and is expected to be launched soon. The M8 will also be accompanied by a 2-door coupe model which will also be sold as a performance model. The 8 Series will be offered as the 840i which will offer the standard variant 340hp. While the 850i model should be launched in India, it will offer 520hp.
Expected Price: Rs 1.5 Crore
The eighth-generation Honda City will soon be launched in India to take on its rivals Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Hyundai Verna, Toyota Yaris, Volkswagen Vento and Skoda Rapid (which will also get a facelift this year). The city will come with a BS6 compliant version of the old engines and will have a new design and features list.

Mercedes-Benz A-Class Limousine
Mercedes-Benz India is going to launch an all-new A-Class limousine in India. The A-Class will be their smallest four-door sedan and will be equipped with 2.0-liter petrol and diesel engines. It will also have Mercedes’ new MBUX infotainment system with virtual assistant. It will take on the 2 Series Gran Coupe and the new Audi A3 sedan.
Expected Price: Rs 40 lakhs
Mercedes-Benz E-Class Facelift
To rival the BMW 5 Series and Audi A6, Mercedes-Benz India is expected to introduce new and improved E-Class in India later this year. The styling on the E-Class is significantly different from the current model and will get more toys and features as well as a new range of powertrains and new MBUX infotainment systems when it arrives.

Skoda Superb Facelift
At the 2020 Auto Expo, Skoda has announced that it will update its line with the refreshed model. One of the most interesting models to be launched is the spectacular one which is scheduled to arrive in May 2020. The luxurious facelift will offer Matrix LED headlamps, a slightly twisted exterior design, revised LED taillights and more. It will be powered by 215hp 1.4-liter petrol and 1.8-liter TSI petrol which is good for 185 bhp and 400 Nm torque.
Expected Price: Rs 25-30 lakhs
Volvo’s answer in the E-Class, 5 Series and A6 will come in the form of the all-new S60. The third generation model started life back in 2018 and is one of Volvo’s latest generation cars to arrive in India. The S60 is likely to come as a petrol-only model with a 2.0-liter inline 4 motor and is based on the SPA platform that outlines the XC60, S90, V90 cross country and XC90 models.
Expected Price: Rs 45-50 lakhs
