However, Kartik’s household have disputed this declare, saying that his killing seems to be a hate crime. “We don’t think it was a random crime and it seems to be hate crime or an act of racism. The police did not even tell us how many gunshot wounds were found in my son’s body, but kept saying that there were multiple. They said that the suspect had no interaction with Kartik, and fired directly at him,” his father Hitesh mentioned earlier.

The household have additionally urged the Union authorities to intervene to expedite the case in opposition to the accused.
