Amazon India to hire 20,000 employees in customer service to serve global customers

E-commerce head Amazon India on Sunday said it is offering around 20,000 ‘seasonal’ or temporary employment opportunities to its customer service (CS) organization to help customers in India and a seamless online globally With shopping experience.

New temporary positions are being added to meet projected demand in customer traffic over the next six months – Hyderabad, Pune, Coimbatore, Noida, Kolkata, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Mangaluru, Indore, Bhopal and Lucknow are open in Amazon India . Said in a statement.

On new posts colleagues will see support for customer services via e-mail, chat, social media and phone. Eligibility criteria for these posts include minimum educational qualification of 12th standard pass and proficiency in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu or Kannada.

Amazon India said that one percent of the current temporary positions are likely to be converted into permanent positions, depending on the candidates’ performance as well as business requirements.
