Bengal scraps pre-board exam this year

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday stated the federal government has determined to not maintain choice (pre-board) examinations for college kids scheduled to write down the state board’s Class 10 and Class 12 examinations subsequent year due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The college students can be allowed to instantly seem for the examinations.

She introduced the choice following a Cabinet assembly.

Educational institutes within the state have remained closed since March, when the nationwide lockdown was imposed.

Though digital lessons have resumed, many college students haven’t been capable of attend lessons as a result of they both don’t personal smartphones or lack entry to the web.

Banerjee had earlier stated her administration would take into consideration reopening instructional establishments after Kali Puja on November 15, “depending on the Covid-19 situation at that time”.

The authorities’s determination comes amid hypothesis that the CBSE)might change the schedule of its Class 10 and Class 12 examinations in 2021 due to the pandemic.
