SSLC Examination in Karnataka: Karnataka is a state that overtook the state-level examination amid the COVID-19 lockdown. The exam started on 24 June and will end on 4 July. However, panic has spread among students and their parents after a student writing a paper at a center in Hassan district tested positive on Saturday.
The test result came while he was writing the exam. According to reports, he was immediately sent to another class, where he completed his paper. He recently recovered from dengue and went on a swab test after developing an influenza-like illness. His temperature was taken before entering the examination center. This was normal in reports. Now, there were 19 other people in the same hall.
This is not the first case. The day before, an officer on examination duty tested positive. After its results, all staff members were to be sent for quarantine.
As parents are concerned, Karnataka Education Department officials confirmed that the officer was not on the challan fee and did not come in contact with the students.
