England vs West Indies (ENG vs WI) 2020 Test Series Schedule, Schedule, Squad, Matches: England and the West Indies will play three test matches behind closed doors, starting July 8. The test series will also be part of the ICC World Test Championship. The series will take place at the Ageas Bowl in Hampshire and the Emirates Old Trafford in Lancashire, which have been chosen as places of biological safety.
All international cricket has been suspended since March due to the coronavirus pandemic. This series will mark the return of international cricket. The ICC also confirmed provisional changes to its gaming regulations, including a ban on saliva to make the ball shine and allow the replacement of players displaying Covid-19 symptoms during a test match.
The two teams will also pay tribute to Britain’s key workers during the upcoming test series, which has been named the #raisethebat test series in recognition of the sacrifices made by doctors, teachers, caregivers and other vital professions during the pandemic of Covid-19.
The proposed dates for three tests are:
First Test: July 8-12 at Ageas Bowl (3.30 PM IST)
Second Test: July 16-20 at Emirates Old Trafford (3.30 p.m. IST)
Third Test: July 24-28 at Emirates Old Trafford (3.30 PM IST)
