Irrfan’s wife Sutapa pens an emotional note a month after his demise

Quoting Sufi poet Rumi, Sutapa wrote on Facebook, 'Beyond misdeeds there is thought and a field. I'll meet you there. When the soul falls into that grass, the world is fully ready to talk about it. 'It's Just a Matter of Time ... Meet Batein Kargen ... Till We Meet Again. '

With a promise to meet again, Irrfan Khan’s wife Sutapa Sikdar shared a heart-wrenching moment, remembering her actor husband and the time they spent together. 54-year-old Irfan lost his battle with a rare form of cancer and died on 29 April in a hospital in Mumbai. She is survived by Sutapa and her two sons Babil and Ayan.

Quoting Sufi poet Rumi, Sutapa wrote on Facebook, ‘There is an area beyond the ideas of wrong and wrongdoing. I’ll meet you there. When the soul lies down in that grass, the world is too much to talk about. ‘It’s just a matter of time … Milenge baateen karenge … Till we meet again. ‘

Along with the note, she also shared two throwback photos of the late actor. Irfan remained out of the public eye after being diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumor in 2018 and later moved to the UK for treatment. The actor returned to the country in 2019 and shot for “English Medium”, a sequel to the 2017 “Hindi Medium”.

However, his health condition kept him from promoting the film, which hit theaters in March, just before the coronovirus-forced nationwide lockdown that began on March 25.
