Police say no signs of foul play in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death

Actor Sushant Singh Rajput, is known for his roles in Kai Po Che, Sonchiriya, MS Dhoni – The Untold Story, Byomkesh Bakshi He breathed his last at his Bandra residence in Mumbai on Sunday, 14 June, among others. According to the post mortem report revealed on Monday, the 34-year-old died of asphyxia due to hanging.

Police said that an accidental death report was filed at the Bandra police station. Allegedly, officials said they had not found any signs of playing dishonestly. However, on Monday, Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh said that the police would investigate whether professional rivalry led Sushant Singh Rajput to commit suicide. “While the post-mortem report stated that actor @itsSSR committed suicide by hanging himself, there are media reports that he was suffering from clinical depression allegedly due to professional rivalry. @MumbaiPolice will investigate this angle as well, ”Deshmukh tweeted.

So far, the police have recorded statements of six people, including his friend living in Goregaon, Mumbai, his actor friend Mahesh Shetty, actress Rhea Chakraborty, his managers and cook.

Officials said no suicide note was found in the actor’s home. A police officer while talking to a daily told that Rajput’s sister often used to come to his house and stay. She said the actor had no financial problems but had been undergoing treatment for depression for the past six months. Meanwhile, Mahesh Shetty said that Sushant called him on Sunday morning, but he did not pick up the phone. The actor feels things would have been different if he had picked up his phone.

Doctors who did the postmortem said that it was a clear case of suicide and there were no other bruises on his body. The actor’s phone has been sent to a forensic lab to retrieve his call details and other information to find out what could have caused his death. Officers will also check for intoxication, poisoning, among other tests.
