India’s biggest drone festival was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday as he highlighted the position of drones in governance and different initiatives. “Every stall that I went to, I was proudly told this is Make-in-India”.
Ahead of the PM’s handle, union aviation minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia stated: “It is estimated that the drone business will attain ₹15,000 crore turnover by the year 2026. Today, there are 270 drones startups in India.”
Over 1600 delegates comprising authorities officers, international diplomats, armed forces, central armed police forces, PSUs, non-public firms and drone startups are collaborating within the festival.
More than 70 exhibitors will show varied use circumstances of drones at the exhibition. Mahotsav may even witness a digital award of drone pilot certificates, product launches, panel discussions, flying demonstrations, show of a Made in India Drone Taxi prototype, amongst others.
