Covid toll at 90 after six more deaths

Gurgaon: A total of 102 people tested positive for Covid-19 in the city on Monday, taking its case count to 5,260. Six people also suffered infection due to taking the city’s Covid toll up to 90.

“All of those who died were men. While four were 32, 67, 75 and 85, two were 68 years old. There was comradeship among all. The 32-year-old man also suffered from type-2 diabetes, ”Dr. Jai Prakash, District Monitoring Officer.

Gurgaon has the highest number of deaths in Haryana, followed by 75 deaths in Faridabad. So far 135 people have been cured of the disease in the city and the total number is 3,882. The recovery rate in the district has improved to 73.8%.

So far, the Health Department has sent 31,037 samples for testing, of which 24,846 have returned negative. The number of active cases in the district is 1,288.

Meanwhile, 134 people tested positive for Covid-19 in Faridabad on Monday, which was 3,588. Two other people also died from the infection.
