‘Self-inflicted national disaster’: Cong uses Lancet report to attack BJP

“The authorities mustn’t shut its eyes on the recommendations given by specialists and the opposition. If such issues are coming from professionals and specialists, the federal government ought to pay attention to them.

“If the IMA and reputed journals like The Lancet are suggesting imposition of a national lockdown, the government should impose the lockdown, but with Nyay-like schemes providing 6,000 per month to the poor to tide over the crisis,” he mentioned at a digital press convention.
