The accident occurred close to Bikram Chowk late Friday evening, they mentioned.

The bus driver, who was rushing, lost management of the car whereas crossing the Tawi bridge. The bus smashed the concrete fence of the bridge earlier than touchdown on the river mattress, ensuing in the loss of life of two occupants whose identities are being ascertained, the police mentioned.

In a separate incident, 27 passengers have been injured after a rushing bus overturned on the Battal Ballain bridge in Udhampur district alongside the Jammu-Srinagar nationwide freeway in the early hours of Saturday, based on the police.

The bus was on its solution to Doda district from Jammu, the police mentioned.

They mentioned the injured have been rushed to a close-by hospital. Later, six of them have been referred to Government Medical College (GMC) right here for specialised therapy.
