NEW DELHI: Shashi Shekhar Vempati on Wednesday concluded his five-year term because the chief govt officer of public broadcaster Prasar Bharati that manages Doordarshan and All India Radio, amongst different channels.

Vempati was a member of the board earlier than he was appointed as head of the general public broadcaster in 2017 by a three-member committee headed by the Vice-President, as mandated beneath the Prasar Bharati Act.
