Rohit Sharma donates Rs 80 lakh

Star India batsman and Mumbai Indians (MI) captain Rohit Sharma donated Rs 80 lakh to fight the COVID-19 epidemic.

Team India vice-captain of the ODI team said, “It is up to the citizens to help the country get back on its feet.”

Out of Rs 80 lakh, Sharma donated Rs 45 lakh to PM Cars Fund and Rs 25 lakh to Maharashtra CM Relief Fund.

Sharma has donated Rs 5 lakh to Zomato Feeding India, which is helping the families affected by the ongoing national lockout.

He donated another 5 lakh rupees to help the welfare of stray dogs.

He said, ‘We need to get our country back on foot. I have done my bit to donate #Bitcoins to #PMCaresFunds, 25lakhs to #CMReliefFund Maharashtra, 5lakhs to @FeedingIndia and 5lakhs to #Kalyan OfStrayDogs.
