Corona infection may not have reached the stage of community infection in the country yet, but it has already taken many lives. Here in Mumbai, a ‘dream’ was crushed by this corona. The theater group Junoon, which celebrated its eighth anniversary last February 29, came to an end on Tuesday. Its founders Sanjana Kapoor and Sameera Iyengar have reported this with full heart to their acquaintances and fans.

In this heartfelt piece of information, Sanjana and Sameera write, “We have done a lot of work between the people of Mumbai and the country in the last eight years to make art juice accessible to the people. We have felt the excitement of the audience. And in the midst of all this, we also cherished the dream of continuing the passion, knowing that in this country of diversity, no one will come together for art nor will any system support us. ”

In this heart-warming message, the two founders of Junoon write, “The past few months have been very challenging for Junoon. Even as we were celebrating the eighth anniversary of the institution on 29 February, we knew that we were standing at a point where we should have taken some tough decisions to strengthen the economic roots of passion. But the current global situation has shaken us. The weakness of an arts organization like Junoon has left no other option at this time except to shut it down. ”

Passion operators have also informed about completing all the formalities of closing the organization in the next few months. Considering this whole experience as a lesson, Sanjana and Sameera have also thanked all those who stayed with them in this journey.
