England all-rounder Ravi Bopara is the latest cricketer to pull out of the inaugural Lanka Premier League (LPL) version. Bopara was slated to play for Jaffna Stallions within the match slated to start from November 26.

“Official announcement English Cricketer Ravi Bopara (Jaffna Stallions) has pulled out from Lanka Premier League 2020,” learn a tweet on the official Twitter deal with of LPL.

Lasith Malinga, Chris Gayle and Liam Plunkett have already withdrawn from the match. While Malinga was half of the Galle Gladiators’ squad, Gayle and Plunkett had been slated to play for Kandy Tuskers.

Meanwhile, Sudeep Tyagi, who not too long ago retired from first-class cricket, arrived in Hambantota on Friday forward of the inaugural LPL version and is presently in quarantine.

“Quarantined in Hambantota #LPLT20 #SriLanka #Quarantine,” Tyagi mentioned in a tweet on Friday.

Tyagi, who had represented India in 4 ODIs and a T20I, had introduced his retirement on Tuesday. Apart from Tyagi, Irfan Pathan, Munaf Patel and Manpreet Gony are the opposite Indians taking part within the league.

Tuskers are slated to tackle Colombo Kings within the match opener on November 26. The fifth crew taking part within the league is Dambulla Hawks.

The T20 match, which can comprise of 23 matches, will see doubleheaders being performed on every day until the semi-finals which will probably be performed on December 13 and 14. The last will probably be performed on December 16. All the matches will probably be performed on the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium, Hambantota.
