Tennis star Sania Mirza posted a picture with her son Izhan on Saturday. Sania has been at home since the beginning of the ongoing lockout in the country. “We woke up this way – it wouldn’t be any other way,” Mirza captioned her photo.
Sania, 33, returned to tennis this year after giving birth to her child. He won the Hobart International in January before playing an integral role in propelling India to a historic play-off spot in the Fed Cup.
However, the epidemic stalled his return from the ongoing freeze in the tennis calendar. Sania was set to attend Indian Wells which was scheduled to take place in March 2020 but was eventually postponed.
Earlier, in a webinar for coaches organized by All India Tennis Association and Sports Authority of India, Sania said that coaches need to be more sensitive when working with young girls.
Sania said, “My father always tells me that working with a female tennis player is quite complicated and very mental because I think there are a lot of issues that girls go through, especially when they are in their teens.”
“A lot of changes are happening, internally in your body and also externally. You are trying to be the best tennis player, while you are also making a lot of hormonal changes, and it happens all of life. a woman.”
