San Francisco: Apple has fixed a bug in its family sharing system that prevents some iOS and iPadOS apps from opening.
The bug resulted in an error indicating to iOS users that an app is “no longer being shared with you” and instructed them to purchase the app from the App Store.
Apple has now fixed the bug that affected the iPhone and iPad apps last weekend, TechCrunch reported. Many iOS users previously reported that they were seeing dozens of pending app updates from their iOS devices. Some of them also saw more than 100 new updates to install.
The bug affected apps like Audible.com, Disorder, Facebook, WhatsApp and YouTube. Before Apple worked to fix the bug, some users found that they could remove it and re-download the specific application. Apple confirmed that the problem has now been resolved for all affected customers.
