UPSC Engineering, Geologist Services (Main) Exam Postponed

UPSC had revised the exam schedule for the current year due to COVID-19 blocking because the tests could not be performed and had to be postponed. These exams were the first in the program according to the new date sheet.

The Engineering Services exam (Main) and the Geologist Services exam (Main) scheduled for August have been postponed. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has notified of the postponement. “The Engineering Services Exam (Main), 2020 and the Geoscientist Exam (Main), 2020 scheduled for 08-08 / 08/2020 are postponed until further notice,” UPSC said.

The current exam dates for both exams were rescheduled by UPSC from their previous hours. UPSC had revised the exams schedule for the current year due to COVID-19 blocking because the exams could not be performed and had to be postponed. These exams were the first in the program according to the new date sheet.

For both exams, candidates who scored the preliminary exam were eligible to sit. The preliminary examinations were in January and the results were declared in February.

The combined Geoscientist (Main) exam will be descriptive in nature and will have three papers. The marks obtained in the main exam and the personal interview will be counted to decide the final merit.

The Engineering Services (Main) exam will consist of two conventional type jobs in specific engineering discipline with a duration of three hours and a maximum grade of 600 (300 Marks in each job). The next stage will be a personality test with 200 points. The marks obtained by the candidates in the preliminary exam, the main exam and the interview would determine the final classification.

The next exam is the NDA and NA exam that is scheduled for September 6. This year, instead of two, there will be an individual exam for your selection at the National Defense Academy (NDA) and the Naval Academy (NA).

According to the new schedule, the preliminary review of Civil Services will take place on October 4. The exam was scheduled earlier on May 31.
