Locals in Assam’s Sivasagar organised an elephant race on Friday on the event of Rongali Bihu. Visuals shared by information company ANI confirmed folks operating and recording the race as two elephants sprinted in opposition to one another.

The celebrations of Rongali Bihu began in Assam on Thursday and can go on until Saturday. The pageant marks the start of the harvest interval and additionally it is celebrated as Assamese New Year.

On Thursday, chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and his spouse Riniki Bhuyan Sharma took half in the Rongali Bihu celebrations at his residence in Jorhat. Sarma shared a video of a Husori efficiency by younger women.

“My Bohag Bihu was made specially memorable this time due to a delightful Husori performance by young girls of Dhol Bai Dhulia of Maibelia Nakachari, Jorhat at my residence this evening.
